    Hi everyone,
This is a thread that we will be using as up-to-date info on people involved in OC3 project.

NOTE: to become a member, you need 3 PhDs in mathematics, physics and programming together with at least 30 years of expirience in the field. You have to be able to speak at least 10 languages including i386 assembler, FORTRAN 77, ANSI C, and motorola 6880 machine code. If you want to design on the other hand, we expect you to know ancient greek writing and egyptian history at least as far as First State, since we will go into great detail...

seriousely, just join the discussion on the forums or on civ3-open@lists.sourceforge.net, on any topic you want.

You can state your availability here, together with some other info maybe. When your availability changes just edit the post.

Oh, yes, the web site is: http://civ3.sourceforge.net

        Amjayee

AVAILABLE: Currently most of the days, though I'm busy at the moment, because I got into the university, where I will start my IT studies this autumn. Moving to my new apartment and handling urgent businesses considering that take a large portion of my time, until the middle of August. After that, my schedules will be more flexible, though studies will take some of my time.

CURRENT TASK: Making the map drawing code with VetLegion. Surface drawing code is almost finished, first demo is working. Currently learning about blitting sprites onto the surface.

TASK STATUS: 40% done? Hopefully some results are visible before the end of July.

INTERESTS: Programming, especially map, and overall design, no special interest in that area.

ONLINE: Currently online time is limited, since I have only my work computer available, and I can't stay at my office very late. From 1700 to 2200 GMT+2. Next weekend is out, but most other days I'm available.

Hi guys! I'm back after a great vacation. Nice to see that our project is still going strong.

I have been working on an economy model, which I will post shortly.

          AVAILABLE: Most days.

CURRENT TASK: Economy. I have put together a pretty complex model, including supply/demand price determination, investment and more. It will, however, require 1000s of (simple) calculations by the computer each turn, as the price for each good has to be determined in all cities.

TASK STATUS: 25-30% done. The model has not been tested, and none of it is actually programmed yet (since I am not a programmer).

INTERESTS: Economy and politics for OC3.

ONLINE: When I have time. Not at any particular hours.

I hope you don't mind but I went and dug up an old thread... It seemed an adequate topic I think and a good question I think

Has anybody already contacted the forum modifier (Dan?) to get our own forum? I think it's the time to do this, otherwise (furter in the development of our game) if we 'suddenly' change our forum we might get some problems with it.

An dwe are ready for it, right?

                    I will mail Dan now.

I am also wondering about the website...

I am ready to pay the money it will cost to have our own site (gunsgermsandsteel.com), but we need some serverspace and an IP adress first. Elmo, you mentioned that you had somewhere we could put it. Could we use that?
