  • How do you stop units from other civs wandering thru

I aksed em nicely to stop it but they won't. What do I do now? Declare war?

Kill them... not some advice but that's what I had to do...

They have 20 turns IIRC to get out of your territory (as you do when you agree to leave theirs).

That doesn't mean they'll be gone on turn 21, however. Sometimes they go, sometimes not.

I find that asking NOT-so-nicely helps, as does threatening war, at least if that's a credible threat.

      Sometimes.

Of course, the request to stop trespassing doesn't work on settlers and diplomats etc. They'll still run all over your territory.

Someone told me at CtP-general that the best way is still to 'kick' those units using a fast-moving unit. Otherwise you can line your borders with cheap units.

I usually line up my entire empire with cheap warriors. These guys see well, and can detect unwanted settlers trying to get a piece of my empire.

In fact, you'll notice that after you kick out an AI's settlers a few times, they will stop coming into your territory.
