Just wondering if anybody else noticed this - when another civ bombards me with a ranged attack (let's say a catapult), I hear the noise but it doesn't center on where it's happening. Wasn't this a problem in CTP1 as well?

Yeah same here , I just try to keep the map centered on the most likely front for bombardment. It's annoying it doesn't show you the damagee your unit is getting even if it's centred.

" mind over body "Destruction is a lot easier than construction. The guy who operates a wrecking ball has a easier time than the architect who has to rebuild the house from the pieces.--- Immortal Wombat.

This is something that has been really annoying me. When I'm attacked or bombarded, it doesn't auto-center to the city being attacked so I have to go and check all of my cities to check which one it was. Sometimes if a unit dies I'll see a little blip of that figure on the bottom portion of my screen (saw this for the first time today when I increased resolution to the max 1280x1024 (or whatever it is!)). I've made sure all the right things are checked in my options. To me this ranks above a minor problem.

i have noticed the noises also but it never centers on the action taking place. i must say that just because i hear a catapult go off and some guy yells in death, it is always two other empires fighting. when the action is taken against me the computer centers on the action.
i suspect though that later in the game when things get way complicated, the computer doesnt center all the time and you miss some combat.
