  • Illiterate Christianity

I am unaware of any true christian who believes that the name of Jesus Christ should be silenced in the public sphere in any way. True Christians know and see that Jesus Christ is Lord, and He is Lord of all of life. Kings are to bow at his feet, and all who resist His rule are crushed before Him. He is exceedingly great in mercy and justice, and is to be praised by all men in all places.

The televangelists in this game use the name of God in a mocking and joking way whenever they say "Lord". It is blasphemous. To associate Christ's cross with such gibberish is also blasphemous.

Men can indeed use religion to be the opiate of the masses, but considering the amount of times kings are rebuked in the Holy Bible, Christianity would not be the best one to use. I need not prove God to anyone on this forum, for everyone here knows that He is real, and when they hear the gospel they also know that it is real. The problem is not proving God, but submitting to Him.

The Lord Jesus Christ owns all things, including the very bodies and minds of His enemies.

My recommendation remains: for as long as christianity is insulted, boycott the game.

But I do believe that the Call to Power people, being the reasonable individuals they are, will see some merit in this argument and act accordingly.

    Regards

The Christians who do not understand that Christ owns all spheres of life are illiterate, and I encourage them to read the Word of God and discover these things for themselves.

    You cannot deny God.

MY RECOMMENDATION: The televangelists should be replaced with a minister (similar perhaps to the older Monk during the formative years of the game), and without the wisecrack statements that use the name of 'Lord' blasphemously.

      translation:

      Article 6

      1. Everyone has the right of a free profession of his religion or conviction, alone or in a community qith others, except everybody's responsibility for the Law.
      2. The Law can make rules in the practice of this right outside buildings and private places, to protect the health, in the importance of the traffic of to avoid disturbances

(sorry for the poor translation, but I'm a student in civil engineering, NOT law).

What you see above is the Dutch Constitution. It is not the Word of God. The Word of God has far more authority than the Dutch constitution. The Dutch constitution is responsible for massive amounts of prostitution, homosexuality, pornography, and other evils currently occuring in that nation under heaven. Jesus Christ is Lord of that nation, and all nations, not the Dutch Constitution.

Your constitution needs be revised if you want your nation to submit to Christian rule.

Hey amish boy. If you can`t talk about anything else than the awful televangelist and how blasphemous they are, I think you should stay out of this site. I don`t think anyone has the interest of talking about what sounds the unit makes, and especially if it is blasphemous or not.
As said before, when contraception is a wonder, I don`t think they care much for religion.
Get your brain together and start thinking like normal people.
It`s not that I hate any christians or things like that, but what you are writing is even worse than giving Salman Rushdie death penalty for a book.
It`s actually more fanatic than any muslim I have ever heard of.Get yourself a grip.

And by the way. Was it in Pennsylvania that some jurks desided to throw away Darwins learning, and use the bible as history-book in school or something.

To all you real civilization fans out there:I know this has nothing to do with what we are supposed to talk about, but it offends me big time.

I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, however it is clear that you are. Since you have judged yourself unworthy of eternal life, then do not read what I have written. The gospel is indeed an offense to all who perish, and enemies of God like you offend me. Therefore we are even, except that the forces of Christianity will win and your forces of secularism will lose in history. Jesus Christ is your Lord and commands you to repent. Your nation of Norway has fallen greviously in history probably because of its rejection of Jesus.

              -----------------------------------------------------

this is the point, it is not Jesus that is being mocked in the game but those unscrupulous peoples that calls themselves preachers and are robbing peoples.

By including a teleevangelist unit in the game, Activision is in fact serving the Lord because it expose peoples who are against the Lord.

The televangelists use God name in a mocking and joking way. God's name should never be used in a mocking and joking way, whether by a televangelist or on a computer game. As for an attempt to expose hypocrisy (which I will admit is rampant today among many televangelists), the game certainly doesn't portray it that way. It assumes a legitimate theocratic government before you start sending out the "televangelists" and it makes these quacks representative of the influence of christian religion in the game. They can at least highlight the positive aspects of the christian religion along with those hypocritical elements, and at the same time keep God's name out of the satirical equation.

Why? To silence Jesus Christ? That will ultimately be futile.

                      The Agent Forces of Tolerance

What I love about the promoters of tolerance is that there is one thing that they remain intolerant off, those philosophies which deny their tolerance religion. Christianity is among those philosophies. Many would consider this a new and advanced thought process among mankind, but this simply is not the case. The ancient pagan civilizations (all of which have collapsed upon their own filth and perversion)were all based upon the idea of tolerating the individual demigods. Even Caesar tolerated his place among the "other gods". But when Christians came and spoke boldly, proclaiming that there was a greater King than Caesar to whom even Caesar Himself must be subject, then suddenly were the forces of tolerance no longer tolerant. It is no different today, we live among the same hostile enemies of the saints of God as the original Christians did. Do not be deceived my fellow Christians. There are many who would stop at nothing to silence Jesus Christ, prayer, and countless other things from public life, including public forums like this, over which Jesus Himself is the Lord. Do not think this will stand forever. As surely as Jesus Christ took Rome for Himself by the wisdom of the cross, conquering kings by the spotless power of the gospel, so will all elements of this civilization be brought under Christian subjection, not by the force of arms, but by the wrath and conversion that takes place by the resisting or accepting of the gospel. The philosophy of Slax, who is asking that christian themes be removed from these bulletin boards, is nothing other than intolerance of Christians and the very God of the universe. As Christians we must speak up and stop allowing the antichristian powers and peoples to silence us.

                      Regards

If Mark G would like to move this to the "Off Topic" forum I would have no objections. However, this is still dealing with the Televangelist issue so it may not be prudent.

Well, it’s been quite a while since I actually posted a message, but this thread….well, maybe I’m guilty of a bit of incitement, but I’ve gotta add this in.

Ahh, the joy of Christianity! While I certainly respect everyone's right to their own opinions, I really find it sad that so many organized religions – especially Christianity - try to put forth that their way is the only way, and anyone who disagrees or believes differently is going to burn in whatever putative afterlife their religion believes in.

I’ve got to wonder – what makes any one religion believe that they have the only inside track to God? If you believe Christianity (at least as far as I understand it), then hundreds of millions of good and otherwise innocent people in countries like China and India are doomed to eternal hell because they have not been exposed to Christianity and thus, accepted Jesus Christ as their savior. Wow! God must really have a whole lot of souls that he’s willing to throw away without ever giving them a chance.

Oh well, I could go on for far too long on this one, so I guess I’ll stop before I get carried away.
