Hmmm, no heralds, not even a still image of a dictator's face? How bland! It looks... *yawn*... boring.

This is just formulating a proposal, on paper... I'm guessing we'll see the opposing diplomat/leader when they 'answer'.

TheLimey - ahh, do you mean a leader pics?

This screenshot has the Zulus accepting a proposal and there's no leader pics or photos.

Not that I personally mind much. As long as there's appropriate music for each foregin civ playing while you're talking to them, I think that should be enough atmosphere. Pics just give people on Apolyton something to argue about.

Then again, we might get shown a pic early on in the discussion with the leader, and I wouldn't mind that either.

Don't think we ever again will have diplomats pictures like in CIV II (I did like the Egyptian very much).

You know what i'd want to see? very hot female diplomats!!!...j/k
I think the diplomacy looks cool right know, but what I would like to be added to it would be government hating. for example communism hates capitalism; tyrrany hates democracy; stuff like what do you guys think?

              Some people are never satisfied!

I really dont care wether there is a picture or not. Just something that shows me to which player I talk would be enough. Wether this is a picture or a color-coded line somewhere or whatever I dont care.

I think (hope) that blue rectangle just a place holder for the picture of the release version.

I, for one, will miss Cleopatra.

On the plus side...I won't be sending gifts to the Egyptians every few turns!

Instead of Diplomat pictures, how about modern flags of nations? Of course modern flags don't make sense in the ancient period but we could have some other symbol to represent civs in each of the ages and they would change as you progressed through the ages. Personally I was always a little annoyed about how the scots would have a diplomat with a suit and tie in the ancient and middle ages.

i think pictures would bge better because then it makes it more realistic, and personalized. anything else would be too generic, adn bland. moving pictures would be the best (like the heralds in civ 2 - corny and unnecessary, but it added much atmosphere)
