The blow was terrible. Slingshot's momentum was completely upheaved and the poor Apolytoner was sent into a savage flip. He landed hard on the pavement in front of the computer store as the breath was knocked out of his lungs.
"Sev-, sev-" came the frail voice through barely a wheeze. As he looked at the spinning sky, his last thoughts were of all the happy hours writing the Ode to Activision. The life continued to drain from his face as he imagined waiting until Christmas of 2001. 'Oh look! CTP2 in the bargin software bin. Only $49.99, I'm sooo happy now!"
And then his world went dark.
