What's the deal with the world map?

1. Defaults to medium dif level.
2. No pollution.
3. Game slows to a crawl.
4. AI is extremely stupid.

Am I the only one to have these problems?

i think there is something to do with the level of your previous game
e.g. if you're playing a medium game and then go to start a new game with the world map, it will choose the medium level even if you specify another level

I think I solved it.
1&2. The "world map" is not a "map" it's a scenario. Ugh, I thought the Activision people said they were going to fix that problem/complaint.
3. Turned of all the "game extras" and my computer "extras" and seems have helped the turn speed.
4. As far as the AI goes, frankly I was wrong, it seems to wickly devilish.

****TIP****
I couldn't seem to get the AI to respond to my demands. I finally "got" Angry and threatened War. I won my first game by bully tactics and I had the smallest army!
