I was just thinking about the game during lunch and I came up with a small idea...
is there any way to make losing units and/or population have a negative effect on happiness..I mean it would make sense that if you are fighting a horrible bloody war a leader will be preasured by the people who are dying for him to end it...I think this would make "take over the world" games that much more realistic and enjoyable...
