Adding Ages?
How would I go about doing it?

Try CityMod this mod add two citystyles and one age. I used Harlan Thompson's city sprites for CTP1 to make this mod for CTP2.
You have to modify age.txt, agecitystyle.txt, Advance.txt, script.slc and citystyle.txt.
For the Great Library you have to change uniticon.txt, gl_str.txt, Great_Library.txt and info_str.txt. I copied all the additions of the files I made into the CityMod readme.txt. May you learn by eyample.
