  • Turn 106 - 250 BC

AB grows to size 6. Still 5 turns of unhappy from previous pop-rush. Workers in AB begin new cottage.

    Archimedes ready in FS!!

    Chariot in Lima moved 7.

Production in FS switched to Spear (2 turns). New horse archer in FS moves to Foxtrot. Foxtrot chariot upgraded to horse archer.

Since we lost all those units Ocala, our treasury has more money to put to research. I have increased the research rate to 80% which gets us Poly one turn earlier at only -4G/turn. Treasury stands at 263G.

I forted the southern Spear, but moved the southern axe 8 just to stop that saratine stack from getting too close to Foxtrot. I also promoted him to combat I.

Gave the EC archer City Defender promo, which incidentally unforted him.

Workers complete road to EC. Chop the jungle.

    Workboat continues journey.

What research after Poly (ready next turn)?

Will send a message to the Horde requesting the Settler.

Archimedes is a GE, right? We could grab literature\great library
A ship at sea is its own world. To be the captain of a ship is to be the unquestioned ruler of that world and requires all of the leadership skills of a prince or minister.

More to the point, its one of the few wonders we can build at the moment.

The Hanging Gardens was kicked around too.

And considergin the inherent difficulty we'll have trading for, or militarily acquiring more health resources, is still one we need consider heavily.

Depending how Sarantium deals with the whole peace negotiation, and how far they are into construction, we might want to grab that.

39 turn eta on another engineer, right?

Hanging Gardens will take awhile, it requires a aqueduct in the city to be built. Probably wait for the second GE to grab it, if we can.

I dont think the GE can research construction because that tech requires mathematics. Not certain on this, because the sav didnt show up in my email.

Strange that the save didn't get sent to you. It went to our team email. Kloreep, can you look into this?

Sarantium is supposed to give us mathematics, and were going to work on construction after that.

IF they actually send Math, and are a few turns away from completion of construction (by my estimates, should be 10ish turns into research, but lost the gold source, so don't know what that did to em), we could conceivably enable the gardens relatively quick.

The Great Library is uber with our philosophical trait. Whats the ETA on literature?

I certainly wouldnt complain at building gardens though.

                      Don't know on lit.

Looks like it would start research next turn if we go that route. Guessing in the 15-20ish range.

Polarnomad, are you playing the sav? Im guessing not, as you havnt noted it in the turn thread.

Polytheism will be done in one turn, literature is estimated at maybe 6-7 turns after that.

The worker in AB moved from grass forst to cottage. No difference in build speed.

                        The horde keshiks have WITHDRAWN

A pair of archers and a chariot have joined the pair of axemen+spear near foxtrot stables. Moved axeman to get in the way again. If only we had a second axeman that attack would be stopped in its tracks.

Foxtrot stable is ready to whip a unit. The horse archer there is 30\50 and has 2 turns left. I could whip it and arrange the overflow to go into a axe\spear.

The archer in echo cove has KEPT its fortify bonus. It has 70% city, 25% hill, and 20% fort bonus.

I put the great engineer on the quarry north of fort sierra. Its physically invincible(no unit in the game can hit it there) and can get where ever we want it in one turn. Archimedes could pop machinery, btw. Crossbowmen have 50% versus melee and a first strike. But they cost 60 hammers, 10 more than a horse archer.

I believe we'ld also need the iron for crossbows.

Lit in 6-7 would be nice. Great library is a great wonder, but if we're going for it, we might want to give up one trying to get another engineer for the hanging gardens. The great library would easily overpower 1 engineer specialist.

Speaking of, how many turns to a new engineer, and how many turns to border growth in Echo?

I support the popping proposal in foxtrot.

                            Current Status of foxtrot stables attack;
                            opposing force:2 axemen\1 spearman 2-3-3-3 of city
                            2 archers\1 chariot 3-3-3-3 of city
our axeman blocks the way 2-3-3 of city

Next turn both stacks of sarantium units can move into the tile 3-3-3 of city. The axeman will move unto the jungle tile protected by river. The sarantium stack will then move 4(unless they opt for a bloody removal of the axe). The axe remains there for line of sight while the stack goes again 4 or 7 unto the mine to pillage it with the chariot. After that they can move 7 unto the hill south of foxtrot stables. So on the fifth turn from now, they could attack with all 6 units. We easily will enough to repel that.

Presumably they will bring up even further reinforcements, perhaps more archers and axes. Do we have a estimate on total sarantium troop count and what forces are in ocala? I recall i number of unknown units moved into the area.

33 turns until next GE. We may as well keep a engineer in FS for now, it needs the hammers for the current unit build

2 turns and echo cultural border grows
