Sarantium stack moved to Horde copper tile.

Horde stack moved 3, many units remain unpromoted.

Archer ready in FS. Need new build. Worker moved to stone tile, begins quarry.

Boat moved 7 - 7 on his journey CCW around the continent.

Screenshots for Sarantium and Horde ready for sending. Not sure whom to send them to yet.

Something I just noticed while replaying Turn 95 (Vox got a saveless e-mail): AC founded Judaism; it's their state religion now. Looks like we're officially a Buddhist continent.

That's strange... I attached the file. I even remember having to figure it out since hotmail changed its interface. Hmmmm... maybe this means I didn't figure it out completely... Oops.

          500 BC save is here.

          Sarantium's orders with the e-mail:

Could you move the hired units to 1 (entire stack)

          thanks
I noticed they sent it to me and snoopy, and no one else, at least in the one I got. So I'm attaching the save here just to make sure it's available to the team.

The move 1 would places our units on the road. The paranoid part of me points out that this places our units in a semi-convenient position for the Horde; but, nevertheless, it is also militarily sensible, since it would allow us to pillage next turn, severing the last road adjacent to the Horde copper and also severing the road between Khan's Throne and their other city. So, let's do it.

No orders from the Horde yet. I'm about to send them their begin-turn screenshot.

So, we have Sarantium order: Move 1.

Externally we just need Horde orders now, though I imagine it'll be "move 9"

We do have our own choices to make, though. FS needs a build now that it's done with its Archer.
I'm thinking another Archer, to escort the settler that will now come from Lima in 5 turns, would be a good idea. It's cheaper than an Axe (and immediate build time is 2 turns rather than 3), and Archers get a +50% city defense bonus that helps make them not quite so weak. Also, if we settle UnO's site (and I haven't seen any other suggestions - or indeed much at all - in the City Placement thread, so I'm taking that for agreement ) then the city will be on a hill. That'll also kick in an Archer +25% defense bonus. Add in 25% for fortification, and an Archer in that city could get to 6 strength on defense.

I believe that's about all we need in decisions for this turn.

                Archer sounds good.

Why is it 5 turns for the settler, aren't we (dual) popping it? Should be able to do that this turn or next, work the food to swiftly recover the lost pop. Overflow should go to something...granary, barracks, or unit. Can't recall what's in that city already.

If it's already got the barracks, it can take over troop production for Foxtrot fairly quickly and allow foxtrot to pop out a forge, then foxtrot can return the favor to Lima. That'll give 3 cities capable of heavy troop production.

And we should send the current archer out towards the new city site now, if we're popping (which we should be, IMO).

                  edit:

And what happened to my cottages up by AB?

Need to consider the happy situation, but AB could dual-pop a worker with relatively little consequences once it hits size 4. (it's got a granary, right?) And that overflow would be well spent towards a library or forge. Lib could be built while it regrows, and would be my first choice there.

Right, I keep forgetting our plans. Guess that's a sign we should move this game along.

Lima doesn't have a barracks yet, only some hammers invested in one.

I just checked, we can't pop the Lima settler yet. Next turn should be possible then.

                          -FS finishes Archer, starts another

                          -Archer moved 2-2
-Axeman south of FS skips turn
                          -Chariot with Bolt sentries
                          -Horde's stack moved 9
                          -Work Boat moved 7-7
-Sarantium's stack moved 1; no Horde (or Sarantine) units in sight
                          -Merc Cart skips turn
