I closed the poll, because with arriving turn it became irrelevant:

Bananas offer Meditation+Fishing for Iron Working, which we can accept and go straight for Sailing as Bananas don't have it (and I doubt they're going to research it).

    What do others think?

    UPDATE:
Also, Stonehenge has been built in an unknown size 5 city which has been founded in 2nd turn.
PJay do you have any data which of Horde, Sarantium or Mercs has that type of city(capital)?

      Another update:
GS has both Masonry and Polytheism, so they can trade them to us next turn, we should negotiate this.

        Our research times for Maths + Construction are 10 + 16 = 26, for Machinery = 27.
Knowing that GS has already half done Maths and that they have more GNP now (if they dont have libraries they will soon), this means, they'll be 5-10 turns before us at Construction, which is really bad for Vox and will make us really rush the Chukonu builds to get at Bananas in time.

I'll have to redo the turn - I screwed workers' movement unluckily. I hope that is no problem.

Decisions - do we try Sailing now?
Diplomacy - need to send GS a confirmation that next turn we're ready to accept the trade along with probably some explanation about MC.

Sailing -> yes, for 1 turn
GS -> can't we propose the deal ouselves before sending on the turn? I don't think they can do anything but accept it, as we have a binding agreement.

If GS accepts the trade, we can switch to monotheism next turn already.

As for Stonehenge : that would probably be Sarantium. It's the only civ from the 3 "unknown" who built their capital in the second turn.

Also, we should send a diplo-message to both of them to notify them about the trades we did (like the TechTradeTerms tell us to do)

We cannot as Masonry is on 'can't trade' category - I guess this means they researched it last turn.

Yes, diplo message should be in order, we traded IW for Mediation and Fishing this turn.

                  Midturn save

                  - mine in 3 turns
                  - connected in 4 turns
                  - Sailing is 4 turns for us
                  - Xi'an grows in 2 turns
                  - Tassagrad finishes Axe next turn, should make another worker (5 turns)

Maybe we start moving axeman towards the fish-grain site this turn?
Tassagrad will have a new garrison next turn anyway and settler will be done in 3 turns, so axe should get some headstart.

We can move it quite quicky using road to Xi'an.

oh, I didn't know we can't trade "fresh" techs (like Masonry from GS). I don't really see a reason for it in PBEM games, but it's probably necessary to prevent exploits with simultaneous turns.

About the settling location, could you whip up a picture with the proposed city locations ?

In my opinion their are 3 locations we should consider in the near future.

Rice River - east of the capitol on the coast to act as a Commerce city and jumping off point for operation 'Bannana Peel'

Marble Hill - the city adjacent to marble and near wheat/deer for getting that marble in our network

North Fish - the coastal site tucked between mountains with wheat and Fish in its to act as another coastal commerce city.

I think these 3 should be our next three cities but the order needs to be worked out based on our priorities.
Companions the creator seeks, not corpses, not herds and believers. Fellow creators, the creator seeks - those who write new values on new tablets. Companions the creator seeks, and fellow harvesters; for everything about him is ripe for the harvest. - Thus spoke Zarathustra, Fredrick Nietzsche

                          PJay - as Impaler said.

To determine the order is imo very easy:

1.The marble site needs culture to be useful (it can then cover 4 resources in range and get the food to grow), which means either religion (missionary) or early production (obelisk/temple).
Currently we can provide neither of those, and currently we're more in need of commerce than extra build resources, so this is a weak option.

2.Rice river - all would be fine except for two things - rice won't be irrigated and there is no other good source of food. Also, we'd need immediate investment in it's infrastructure - it can only grow with the rice farmed.

3.I think the fish-wheat should go first because it has the necessary food to get itself running and actually build the most necessary things, starting with a boat, as well as to grow quickly and cover the coast for maximum commerce output.

That having said I also propose to start moving axeman at Tassagrad towards that city site to ensure it arrives a turn early and clears the path.

For site 3, I guess we are settling on the tundra tile near the fish and not on the grassland near the wheat ?

I'm fine with moving our axe in that direction.

Was that the only thing we are waiting for to send on the turn?

fishing village is priority, and send the axe yes

there is only one spot that covers the wheat and the fish.

don't think there is anything else to decide
