Ive tested both versions of the patch. Playing on ME and W2k systems. Some of the main bugs of both versions:
New maps sometimes completely without Luxurys. No Borders. Citys appear as Units!!!! On Deity the Ai cheating beats everything ive ever seen. The Egypts had 35 Citys on a tiny map - seems completely wihtout corruption. Fatal graphic errors. Douzands of them. i got realy angry while i write this list. I could inform you about some fatal crashed and stuff like that. Deinstalling patch doenst helped. i reinstalled civ. no it works again. better than with the patch.
