I like the idea of extra civs the same as the next person. CTP2 had a large number and it was great and the fact that we can finally have at least 16 civs in play is a step in the right direction.
But 1st, the map editor is limiting size: In order to have a CIV II map be the same size as one in CIV III, you have to double the effective width number of the CIV II map.
2, the maps can't be expanded much bigger. and we can't make custom scenarios.
So, if new civs are added, where can we put them without being able to expand borders (on an earth map and maxxed civs) without wiping civs out early. I think part of the fun is getting rid of an enemy late in the game. Now the game doesn't replace other civs after they are destoyed. Right?
