  • New challenge!

The rules are: You take a random small map, and you can edit it as much as you want, but you cannot use the river tool. The rivers on the map stay where they are, and you can't make any new ones. This will stop unrealistic hutpopping, and things like solo's river map, which was just too easy. Then you make your game a scenario, so you can land before 1 AD. I am expecting pre AD landings, so this is important. I have already planned out my map, because now I have new theories about how to win.

How do you extract a random map from a save file? Don't you have to do this to start with a game-generated map?

You can either create a random map in the map editor or you can load a map from a saved game in the map editor. (Open map editor -> load -> select .sav file)

Thanks, Paul. I was under the false impression that the map editor could only read in .mp files. Sometime I want to ask you some other questions about how you set up OCC games, too.
