  • 7 Player simul turn game

We played for 4 hours and we got to electronics (i was 1 tech from it) I dominated pretty much the whole game, but it was fun to see how far you could go with 7 players. Arii and moker also had powerful civs and little wars going on.

I managed to build 14 wonders, my best ever in a 7 player game.

Mikes, bachs, SOL, marco polo, shakespear, womens sufferage, leo's, united nations, adam smiths, darwins, great wall, hanging gardens, newtons collage and colossus.

The only bug that was encountered was one where you some people couldn't move a unit off a ship, but all in all everyone was really happy with the speed of the game. I think big games will be far more common now.

The most annoying thing is if someone gets booted, the games seems to froze forever, and a reload must be done.

If 2 units are moved into a hex at the same time, which one would use its attack factor and which would use its defense factor?

Having had that happen, it seems that it's decided by time, first come first serve, this could very well come down to microseconds as the packets are recieved by the hosts machine.

...and means that lag would be a disadvantage to players in this type of game.

ok....then it seems that the 1st unit to move would have "possession" of the hex and would be the defender.....and the 2nd unit to move would be the attacker......so moving 2nd could be a distinct advantage

Im hooked to simultaneous, ive played over 5 games already and refuse to start games without this new mode. You dont have to wait endless minutes for turns to go by and even if your not winning in the game it still keeps you in the action. This is a must for all civ players to try out!!!

and if anyone is interested in starting a sim. game icq me and we can get one going.

I have hosted 3 games and played in 3 others. I have yet to see this lag problem... I have come in 3 or 4 situations where a horse meets a horse, and i won 50% of the time. THIS IS RARE, simply because both players must have the same units active and both must be ready to move them. What happens more often then not is i run into a unit try to attack it and it backs up... very annoying.

I was in this game and i thought it was the best game ever. I dident see any lag in the game. I had time to look into my citys and tweek a little becouse I didn't have as many units out as the rest. My major problem was being squeezed down into the pole by the celts, and a short trip down the pole was the Indians. Which made me kinda a wormonger couse i had to claw for every little piece of soil.
I like simu play, it was fast, smooth and easy
