  • wanted: good medieval mod

    Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good medieval modpack? By "good" I mean well-done graphics and at least a little thought put into the tech tree.

If you make a suggestion that's not easily downloaded from this site, could you also provide a link?

    Thanks!

I hope it´s ok when I recommend my own work?

Visit my site (signature), enter the scenario section and give Cross&Crescent (needs Fantastic Worlds) a try. Hope you like it.

Try www.civfanatics.com , or http://apolyton.net Civ 2 download archives. If not, ask BeBro... he's a genial guy!!!

        Thanks, Prometeus

BTW, Caius, I also like "Holy Roman Empire" by Jesús Munoz (sorry, don´t know how to get the "n" with this accent) and "Death and Resurrection of an Empire" (or DAROAE) by Hendrik the Great, both available on the Scenario League here at Apolyton under "for review".

Jesús´scenario is also on the Spanish Civsite here, Hendrik´s is of course available on his own site at http://members.nbci.com/thalys

          Thanks for the quick replies.

I actually prefer modpacks...can't get into scenarios. I don't know, it's like walking into a movie halfway through. It's much more fun to start from the first settler.

Or, how easy would it be to take the scenario files and use them like a mod pack? Do I only have to copy over the .gif and .txt files? Or is it more complicated?

          Thanks again

I know what you mean, I also like it when there is a lot to discover, to explore and to conquer

I don´t think it´s possible to play a scn as a modpack. If take only the graphics, your units will have incorrect values, and if you also use the rules and the other .txt files it may work, but its also possible to destroy the whole techtree, because some scns use specific techtrees for several civs.

Edit: I lost the connection while posting, so I had to write all again
