Is the .sav files all you need to keep your save game files or do you also have to have the .dat files?

    Thank you

    Which version?
*.SAV's are the only ones that reload on MGE, i suspect it must be the same with anyone else, right!

.scn for scenario files and x.txt (where x is the same as x.scn) for the text file associated with a scenario.
      .hot for hot seat games
      .net for TCP/IP games

that's all I can think of - any more guys??

      good civin'

        Maybe it 's too obvious.
But don't forget any of your creations or downloads, as scenarios and maps, for example. Nothing worse than making or adapting a great map and see it disappear.

          Thanx!

By the way do you know why the .dat files change from the originals (the ones you get when you install?) what info is stored in them?

          Thanks again

Oh, and the version I have is the CIv II Multiplayer. Not the Gold one ...

Actually, I don't really know what this version is. In the civ game windows it says ultimate, in the box just multiplayer. It doesn't have fantastic worlds or whatever.
Am I the only one with this version???
