  • Fix the boards please

Ever since you 'upgraded' the boards to be apolyton.net rather than www.apolyton.net I can't access them. I always get the apolyton error/at work page. I can see the list of threads fine but not the threads themselves.

I can view the thread if I copy the link into my URL box and add www. infornt of the apolyton, but I still can't post.

This is extremely annoying - please fix it as soon as possible.

It may be caused by me using linux??

(BTW I am posting this from a different computer running windows and all seems fine)

first of all, you can post if you copy the url of the post button and add www. like you do with the thread links

now, it seems like the dns server you use has yet to be updated on the change of apolyton.net. that's really amazing since the change was done almost 2 weeks ago
can you see what's the dns server you use?

I got as far as trying that but the 'submit reply' button in the message reply page button foxed me. When I press it i get back to the error page.

      <center><table width=80%><tr><td><font color=000080 face="Verdana" size=2><font size="1">quote:

erm... how would I do that then?

Will do! It will require some time (to troop back to the other c and then all the way back again)

            Here it is

            Default Server: sun01a.desy.de
            Address: 131.169.200.2

I can't get on the actual machine at the mo but i am pretty sure this one is the same server.

i dont see a problem, the server gives the correct ip address

I get exactly the same as the above from my usual machine, so it is the same server. As am experiment I tried the browser on the other machine too and can get into apolyton fine, like normal (horrendously slow though). It seem to be just this machine.

                  Any ideas?

Another odd thing is that I can access all the standard apolyton.net pages - just not the forums

it's something in the config of your system

perhaps any other linux users here could help?

Well, what did you change? What is different about the apolyton.net site compared to the www.apolyton.net site? Isn't it just an exact mirror?

Those should be just multiple d.b.a. address for the same site, with real adrress be gamestats.com/something.

MarkG: Could you do a little bit of investigation for me? What is the difference between your 'Login Changes Archive' sticky post at the top of th page and all the others (link wise i mean)? Because, for some reason, I can read that one fine from my pc, as well as the birthday calander and the age fax, but all the other threads give me the apolyton error.

Knowing the difference might help me identify my problem.

The log in changes thread may not have change since before your problem arose and may be a stored page on your browser.
