  • Apolyton Competition Benefitting from Server problems

None of the links actually work for someone with a 56k. Cant post Cany reply, slow load. I used to enjoy coming here, now it takes 5 minutes just to load some of the pages.

Owell, I hear the competition at CivGaming is benefitting from all these problems

Before someone else says something, I'd like to dispute that statement.
Only a handful of people who can't get into Apolyton actually go to civgaming.net.

And secondly, it's no big deal...we're all part of the bigger civ community.

I too would like to disagree with this statement. I believe that a) we are getting the word out about the problems, offering ways of getting around the major ones and continual updates on the minor ones and b) that other sites in the community are pitching in to let their visitors know about the difficulties here.

All Civ sites are members of the same community: there is no competition here. We are all neighbours.

There was also information posted in ACOL Random chat and CGN's OT about the server changes and how to access Apolyton.

Any competition there is is more of the friendly kind. Since none of these are really there for profit, but as a service to gamers and others who want to be part of the community.

And you dont have to chose one from all the civ forums in the net. you can post in all of them.
