profile works fine from here, thrid line in the profile is total posts. I can read yours and I can read mine own. Junior civer sounds like something I saw at another UBB.

From a newbie's point of view, it does seem to matter at the Settler/Chieftain level, at least to the likelyhood of any responses from the more experienced members... Hell, I almost want to change my name to 'Thread-killer' sometimes... Seriously, I have responded to threads or asked questions and then been deafened by the silence. Other times, people are more forthcoming in their responses, but I still feel that some of the more 'senior' posters are biased against responding to the newbie views or questions...

I'm responding! And I'm a prince to boot(Well, at least my girl thinks so)! I did a search of your posts, and read some samples(Although not the OT one, it didn't come up). People posted in your topic, and others echoed a question you asked. A lot of the posters know each other, from costantly reading what they say, or from playing games against each other, and so on. Keep posting. people will answer if they like (or in many cases dislike) what you say. Your time at settler is mercifully brief, as is the time after that. You are right that you will take abuse, and be ignored on the OTs, but don't give up on them! Some people go out of their way to talk to everyone, so don't despair. If you want people to answer, then answer their questions and comments. I always respond to someone who quotes me, or abuses me, which is about in equal measure.
