  • Various Questions (Mainly to Ming)

    Well... I have a question:

Can you unlock threads after they are locked? How often have you done so? And Why?

Can you unarchive threads and allow people to post in them?

How is the "Currently Browsing the Boards" box arranged: in order of their log on's? no particular order? etc?

Ming- about how many threads do you close/delete a day?

-There is no particular reason I am asking these... I have merely wanted to know the answers for a while

    Lancer predicts...

Can Ming unlock threads?...crystal ball says...YES!
How often have you done so and why?...crystal ball says...NOT VERY OFTEN, FOR INFORMATION THREADS ONLY WILL MING UNLOCK.
Can you unlock threads and let people post in them?...crystal ball says...MING CAN DO ANYTHING, WITH THE RIGHT PROGRAMMING.
How is "Currently Browsing the Boards" arrainged?...crystal ball says...YOUR LOGIN FIRST, THEN BY DECENDING ORDER STARTING WITH WHO POSTED LAST.
How many threads do you close/delete a day?...crystal ball says...IT REALLY DEPENDS IF AH AND DOOKIE ARE POSTING MUCH.

    Lancer rests now.

<img src="/images/blue1.gif" width=100% height=1></font></td></tr></table></center>Yes. In this forum the Logon Changes Archive, and birthday calendar are set up that way. (always locked, and then unlocked when they need to be updated) Why? So that noone will post to them, thus making 100% sure that they stay on-topic . Ming has also used this feature a few times to make announcement threads in the OT that noone could answer to, thus making sure they stayed announcement threads, instead of becoming discussion threads.

The reason why your login is always first, is because for the script you are the last person to post/read something on the forums.

Oh, I knew it was my login first, but descending order of who posted last is new to me, thanks
