  • if the thread is closed, why is it still sticky?

the login changes archive thread is closed down, and yet it stays at the top of the page! if it were not stuck there, it would fall off since it hasn't been posted to since sep4.
I'm sure ther must be a reason I haven't thought of.

Yes, there is a reason for it being closed, and sticky.

It needs to stay at the top to make it easier for people to find it. It helps everybody know who is who, and who the latest changes are.

Second, it is closed so nobody can post to it except MarkG. This way, it only lists changes, and nobody can clutter it up with misc. comments

The sticky thread is a cunning plan by the admins to try and reduce interest in the site, because they can't be bothered to maintain it any more......

        Only joking!

Seriously though, it is a post that stays at the top no matter when the last post was, to ensure that everyone pays attention to it, hence the name 'sticky'.

          OH, that makes perfect sense!
That would be a great way to set up the GLOA!
