    Not a major gripe at all, but it could potentially be annoying. Example:

    <center><table width=80%><tr><td><font color=000080 face="Verdana" size=2><font size="1">quote:
    <img src="/images/blue1.gif" width=100% height=1>
    </font>What General Weygand called the Battle of France is over. I expect that the Battle of Britain is about to begin. Upon this battle depends the survival of Christian civilization. Upon it depends our own British life, and the long continuity of our institutions and our Empire. The whole fury and might of the enemy must very soon be turned on us. Hitler knows that he will have to break us in this Island or lose the war. If we can stand up to him, all Europe may be free and the life of the world may move forward into broad, sunlit uplands. But if we fail, then the whole world, including the United States, including all that we have known and cared for, will sink into the abyss of a new Dark Age made more sinister, and perhaps more protracted, by the lights of perverted science. Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves that, if the British Empire and its Commonwealth last for a thousand years, men will still say, "This was their finest hour."

    There are four clickable links back to the Apolyton forum in the above text. see if you can find them...

    "t", "a", "e" and "e" - I'm surprised you didn't link one of the commas! Although you have a valid point, it is usual to give some contextual clue to the existance of a link ...

      No problem here -- the links are in dark yellow, the quote is in a blue-violet.

        Probably unique to your browser....I get light blue and dark blue. Wouldn't have noticed them if I didn't run the mouse pointer over them first. But, Scouse Gits is right so it doesn't really matter.

          You can always set it so your local preferences in your browser override the website settings.

          What kind of idiots will put hyperlinks in quotes (of previous messages), esp when those links weren't in those previous messages to begin with?

            Not unique. In Netscape (I'm using 4.51 for Windows), select the edit->preferences menu item, click on Appearance->Colors, click on the button for the colour you want to change, select the new colour, select "Always use my colors", click the OK button.

            This does mess up the message background colours, though.
