  • Posts Aren't Showing After Posting

Perhaps it is just a temporary slow server problem, but after making posts I am returned back to the thread and the post doesn't yet show (just like how the Coffee Shop did when it got huge).

    Just reporting a problem...

I've noticed this too - I've had to click shhit+reload to get a whole thread to load

I don't have that problem, but do you think that the computer may be using a previously cached verson of the page? If it is, then hitting reload would work.

As ada already suggested, when this happens hit "Reload" ("Refresh" in IE). This should clear your browser's cache which, if the new post then does appear, is an indication that you were viewing a slightly older version of the page.

            Dan,

I've never had this problem before, and it doesn't exist on other UBB forums.

it might happen in big threads...

actually, any thread over 200 posts is over the intentions of how the scripts were designed and should be avoided....

Well, the first page of my thread was over 200Kb, so it must be the # of posts and not the size

The modified script at this site has a feature to get past this problem... That's why the "?date=" bit is tacked on at the end of a post.

No joke! I accidently triple posted in the coffee shop this morning!
