Gee with all the great work and skill you both have DarkosQ.... aren't the forums a bit dull in color/theme?

At least change the forum colors in each forum to match the game.... if not add a game pictures/background....

It would look so much more... professional?

Of course if you are too lazy to do this you could always just give me your pass....

"At least change the forum colors in each forum to match the game.... if not add a game pictures/background...."

No. Each section of our site has a consistent colour scheme, and it will remain the same in the forums. What you see in the forums is our "classic" theme, and we are not going to tamper with that.

Game pictures/background would be frivilous, and would simply slow down the loading time of the forums.

"It would look so much more... professional?"

A different colour scheme for each forum, yet having the forums grouped collectively into fora? I don't think so EVC.

"Of course if you are too lazy to do this you could always just give me your pass...."

Yeah right -- that would be like giving the key to a barn to a wolverine, no?

True they are good on the eyes.

Why too much work? You spend all that money getting a very nice UBB forum set, and a server to run it on... yet you don't wish to use it to its full potential?

This isn't the 90s... and browsers can store cache's of d/l backgrounds, themes of a site.

If you would like to see a forum that has pretty close to the same concepts that I am talking about:

IOO (In Our Opinion) we are using it to its full potential. Our current design is fresh, clean and crisp. We like it.

"This isn't the 90s... and browsers can store cache's of d/l backgrounds, themes of a site"

I don't want my HD to be cluttered with a massive cache. Come on now --- when people visit a website, they want it to load completely yesterday already... our obsession with the speed of our connection to the Net is a testament to that fact.

"If you would like to see a forum..."

          I'll check it out.

Okay if you don't want to change anything at least change the title bars to a darker grey to give some contrast... that way the eyes don't get so blurred...

            IE:

Forum | Topics | Posts | Last Post | Moderator

            = darker grey

            | Dinosaurs |

            = darker grey

            In the forums:

Topic | Topic Starter | Replies | Last Post

            = darker grey

***This would at least add that professional look without affecting d/l speed or vastly changing the layout. IMHO of course.

No, keep the colors, they are the best. Its why I copied the color theme for 3 out of 4 forums I control, Its very nice to the eyes.

                MasterBob,

You do agree about darkening the title bar, right?

I guess darkening it would be a little help, but not much noticable difference.
