ALIGN=RIGHT BORDER=0></A> After months of preparation and some unforeseen setbacks, registration has finally begun for <B>ApolyCon 06</B>. Navigate to <A HREF="http://convention.apolyton.net" TARGET="_new">convention.apolyton.net</A> for more information on the convention.

<B>ApolyCon 06</B> will take place from <U>July 7th-9th</U> in Timonium, near Baltimore in Maryland. The convention will <A HREF="/go.php?http://www.hotel-ballt.com/index.html" TARGET="_new">be held at</A> the <B>Holiday Inn</B> in Timonium. The location is near the headquarters of our two main participating companies, <A HREF="/go.php?http://www.firaxis.com" TARGET="_new"><B>Firaxis Games</B></A> and <A HREF="/go.php?http://www.bighugegames.com" TARGET="_new"><B>Big Huge Games</B></A>. These two leading firms have shown great enthusiasm toward the event. Among the professionals at <B>ApolyCon 06</B> are Sid Meier, Brian Reynolds, Jeff Briggs, Soren Johnson, and Tim Train. <B>Apolyton Civilization Site</B> co-owners <A HREF="http://apolyton.net/about/10/123/248/">Markos Giannopoulos</A> and <A HREF="http://apolyton.net/about/10/123/247/">Daniel Quick</A> will also be in attendance.

A ticket to the convention costs $175US per person and a banquet dinner is included. It is also possible to buy a banquet-only ticket (for partners or family for instance) for $75US per person. You <A HREF="http://convention.apolyton.net/12/192/" TARGET="_new">can register</A> online or offline through a form. Accommodation is not included in the fee, but once registered, you will receive a special code that enables you to book rooms at the convention hotel for a special convention fee.

Zopperoni (Kenneth Lim) will be the one to contact you directly via email with the convention code to quote when booking the hotel so you get the special discounted rate. This message will also include the link to the hotel's online booking tool. If you do not receive this email from him within a week of registering, send him a PM.

Be sure to enter group booking code APO. Note that the convention code works only for the days of the convention: July 7th and July 8th. If you are staying longer, on either side of the dates, you will have to call the hotel and make arrangements as their website doesn't handle mixed reservations.

For example, I'll be staying 5 days - July 5th - 10th, and I have to call and make my arrangements.

Ok... I'm really looking at going... but the best rate I keep getting is $92 a night or $184 for the two nights (add $175 for the convention and you get $359 + travel for 2 nights...).

Anybody out there know of a better rate? Or are there still people looking for a roommate?
