You'll get a reload message. I played the turn, took the last usurper base, marr called me and asked for a truce - my choices were (something like):

I'll truce but will treat is as your defeat
and
Prepare to be annihilated

I thought I chose the former, he whooshed off in his escape pod, then I got the message that the Usurpers had been eradicated.

Thinking I had inadvertently chosen option 2 (I wanted a slave, not a xenocide reputation - but wait - the caretakers still live ...) I reloaded and took more care with the options I chose - same thing, I accepted his ofer of a truce and he disappeared from the game.

(I guess the option "don't restart eliminated players" must be toggled in the rules)

Anyway - everything else was the same between the two turns.

After the deadlock of Planetary Council Election many exponents of the opposition had affirmed that the goverment was "unable to impose the leadership of our faction in any field". The comment of the majority weren't the words, but the significative effort to tranform our faction in the center of Planet's trade. Thank to the Merchant Exchange in few year we'll pass the economic crisis that affect our factions.
