2152 to Jacques and Tau Ceti
From Captain's Personal Diary
When Provost Jacques signed the treaty of friendship I was very happy, I hoped in a new era of glory, but when the University's leader has affirmed that he want to resign his dimmission... well, I fell worried.
I desire to summon the Planetary Council as soon as possible to discuss with the others faction and hear other positions.
It seems that will be Tau Ceti the new leader of University, and I ask to me if he will desire to continue the peaceful convivence with the others factionAslo the gods are impotent against men's stupidity --Frederich Shiller

University Networks News
We return now to our live broadcast of the ceremony at University Base, where Vice-Provost Tau Ceti is about to take over the position of Provost from Jacques De Carufel. He is currently making his speech.
"Although we would have liked to have Provost Jacques with us in the challenging years to come, as fellow researchers, we understand his desire to put his ideas into action on a more practical level. When you are running a colony, you have little time left for study and research. With his many years of experience, we are sure he will be a great leader of our research council.
"The new leadership intends to make no great policy changes. Provost Jacques's policies got us where we are today; in as good a position as one could expect for a population of a few thousand, crash landed on a strange planet. We have firmly established our presence here, and our labs have already made amilestone breakthrough: The final mapping and understanding of the human genome. Already, diseases that have haunted mankind for millennia are being treated with great success, and the health of our citizens has never been better.
"We wish to reassure our citizens and the other survivors of the crash that we remain firmly committed to the peaceful search for knowledge."
