Tau arranges tourney games with 3 to 7 players, both in smac (the ACTxxx series) and smacx (the AXTxxx series)

Enroll in the "Players wanted" thread (I think you did)

There are also vacancies from time to time when players drop out for whatever reason and replacements are always needed - drawback there is that you are often taking over a somewhat untenable or at least weak position - prolly why the original player dropped out anyway (not always tho)

ACT042 is such a game - spartan player wanted, it's 2124 and everyone is in a comparitively poor position - could be a great multiplayer game tho, once it gets 50 to 60 more turns underway.

Keep persevering - that;s how I got started.
