  • Help with first E-Mail Game!

    Please can someone introduce me and hold my hand through my first E-Mail Game? These are the details I think I am being asked for

    stevebunn50@hotmail.com
    SMACX
    1 Game
    No Map Prefs
    Any Human Faction
    Easiest difficulty allowed
    Apolyton Alias = Steven Bunn

    Please let me know if I got this right.
    What do I do next?

    Thanks
    Steve.

    Steve, in case you want, I can help you, like I've done many times in CtP, and set up the game for you, if you find at least 2 more people to play the game, I'd like it then.
    As I've done many work at CtP PBEM, I'm now also taking part in the SMAC/X MP world.
    Welcome!

      Hi Steven

      Good offer from Solver, hope you get a game going

      If you don't have other people lined up to play, though, recommend that you post your details to the game sign-up thread, which you can find by clicking on this link

      Best of luck

        I too am interested in an email game, but I also need someone to guide me through the process. Hopefully Solver's offer will extend to me also.

        As far as my prefs...

        version = SMAC only
        activity level = 1 Game
        Maps = No Map Prefs
        Faction = no believers. spartans / univ both ok (will take others if necessary)
        difficulty = Easiest difficulty allowed

          Niteowl, I would surely like to take you in the game, but I only have SMAX running and up, I just can't start a SMAC PBEM, as I don't have the patch. Next, I think we need 1 or 2 more. Niteowl, please think about what to do with you Well, if someone sends me the patch that would allow SMAC to PBEM, I could start a SMAC PBEM, then.
          Then we need to decide about the difficulty level, it's quite important. Many games tend to start at Talent, just because it's the standard level, I will agree to Talent, for sure. I like Large map with water, but I will appreciate other opinions here, for sure.
          I am almost sure, however, we will get a game up.
          Waiting for more posts .

              Get SMAX, or give me the patch for SMAC, and state what faction and settings you want.
              Also, I'd like you to read the Ladder topics, perhaps a first rated game in AC?
