WOW, Mis - you beat my posting post (...and on to Mis...) and my reload problems explanation.

Froze twice on loading at the diplomacy screen - couldn't exit it, mouse nor keyboard didn't work, reboot the only option. Third time worked like a charm - go figure.

Well, I know I've played this turn before, but couldn't see any file for Fred or any record that I'd sent it. The turns were identical - so if you see a reload message, apologies. Just my poor management.

Now that I am no longer holding up this operation and turns seem to be happening about once a day I doubt I will continue to post for every single routine turn.
