I want to officially say...yes....you are right...It's not ARTHUR Thayer Mahan! It is ALFRED Thayer Mahan! I must apologize and next time will be more careful on these things!

Mahan's thinking strongly relies on the large amount of trade which goes by sea. 4x games don't really model interruption of sea-based trade routes.
