Despite all campaigning on forums, I noticed that nearly half of our active members haven't voted for anyone in Apolyton: Hall of Fame.
Hall of Fame Thread
Now, if you browse the hall of fame, you will notice that there is little people from SMAC community, although it is older than Civ3 and has a good deal of active members. Reason for that is that many posters simply forfeit their right to vote and don't use it. Either you don't care, don't understand, or don't know for whom to vote. But your vote is important. You can nominate up to three persons, and a couple of you voting can gradually make quite an impact.
Googlie and Darsnan, two great SMAC contributors are still not in the Hall of fame. Googlie seems as he will be in this year, but we need your votes! I strongly suggest you that you think about voting and use your right to vote, and vote at least for Darsnan and Googlie from three nominations you get in the thread (link near begining of the post). Every loyal SMAC player and thus every good Gaian should vote for them since their work and contribution for the community is exceptional.
And let's mention other significant contributors to the community - Buster, legendary player and CMN, Smacksim, author of excellent Aldeberan mod (what happened to him? I hope he didn't die in tornado season), Hydro, exceptional work on fiction, Gwillyby, Kody, Minute Mirage and Blake, all good players known for their discussions and advices.
To summary, check the link, think about actually using your right to vote, and if you hopefully decide to vote, please nominate Googlie and Darsnan.
