Custom Leader heads, advisors, and units

Is it possible to make custom leader heads (graphics), advisors (graphics), and units in Civ 5 like it was in Civ 3? And if so what do I do? You've probably guessed by now but I'm very new (and perhaps a bit confused) about modding Civ 5.

Oh and what about custom advances and resources?
