I don't know if this has already been posted or at least something similair. If it has, then I apologise for posting again, blah blah blah!
The bug that causes the game to crash when trying to fortify a unit inside a city screen, can be overcome (I think!) I just reverted my graphics drivers back to the ones provided by windoes (I'm running XP Pro).
Don't know if that will help anyone, perhaps it will, hopefully.
