Now it's holidays, my wife and i want to start playing Civ4 together.
So I installed the game on my laptop, and decide to try a LAN game.
Specs:
LAPTOP:
2.4GHz Pentuim M
1GB RAM
Windows XP pro
usual Laptop Hard-drives
PC:
2.4GHz Athlon64
1.5GB RAM
Windows XP Pro X64
RAID0 hard-drives
Anyways, when we join a game in the lobby, it says out versions aren't the same. They are. They're both 1.52. Could that be because the operating systems are (slightly) different?
Also, when starting a larger map, the laptop and it's slow harddrives take significantly longer to load up the map than my beasty PC with RAID0, and the game goes out of sync. This is a pain in the arse. Is this just because one computer takes so much longer to load?
