what should I expect?

well hopefully today I will be getting bts and I've heard a LOT about it, and most of it scares me . what am I to expect? crashes? slow games? or am I going to have my socks blown off. I have a vista but don't remember how to tell people how much power it has (if you want to know you have to remind me)
