I note that in the financial summary screen, under “Unit Maintenance” and “Unit Supply” that you can maintain a certain number of units for free after which you have to pay 1 gold for each unit you have.
Does anyone know how the number of free units you can support is calculated? Is it a set figure for each difficulty level, is it based on the number of cities you have, your civic choices etc?
