We've got two computers (PCs A & B) on one cable modem using a router. We've had no problem playing two player games together using either LAN or internet options.
We just tried to add a third computer (PC C). This computer is my friend's, and he lives two states away, and obviously has a completely different modem. So far we've been unable to get a game with all three of us.
I think the problem is that PCs A & B have the same IP address. For some reason this isn't a problem when A hosts only PC B (or vice versa). However, once we throw in PC C, the game doesn't work, no matter who hosts.
Can this be fixed without buying two cable modems?
