world editor crashing the game now :(

since today, when i try to open the world editor in a game i play since about 2 days on a large map, the game crashes.
i was used to that it takes some time until the world editor loads, but now since it crashes the game i have no way to edit anything.

does anyone have some expierence in how to solve that ?
