Hi,
I have tried to install Civ IV on a Dell DIM2400 PC with the following spec.:
Pentium 4, 2.8 GHz, 512 MB RAM, Windows XP Home, INTEL(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV graphics card with 64 MB with the latest driver ver. 6.14.10.4342 (the display is set to 1024 X 768 pxs).
At the end of the installation process I get an error message “Error 1706” and when I try to play the game, I can see the settlers etc. but the land is black, and I can only see the background, the eyes and the teethes on the leader (they look like ghosts).
What can I do ?
Please help me, as I am desperate to start up the new Civ IV !!
