I have an SLI-setup Geforce 7800GTX manufactured by ASUS. This beast slaps around any game I have tossed at it so far, and asks for seconds. However, I have run into a troublesome (until recently) problem with this configuration.
The problem is, the game freezes, and compeletly locks up my computer. This became annoyingsome especially since I just bought Civ 4. So, after some messing around with my computer, I discovered the issue. Civ 4 apparently doesn't support SLI-setup. I disabled SLI and went back to single-card setup, restarted my PC, and started the game again. Now, I still get the annoying multi-colored patches when a startup and wonder movie should be played, but at least now, the game doesn't lock up my computer. Anyways, a little help for anyone out there with the same problems and an SLI rig.
