If I am running Teamspeak, or Ventrillo, both of which are programs that use the microphone, then Civ4 wont start; the loading screen just vanishes when it gets to the stage where it would normally say 'initi audio'
If I run Civ4 first, then my mic is automatically muted if I try to use teamspeak or ventrillo.
[This isnt entirely a Civ4 problem, as I cant use both teamspeak and ventrillo at the same time either].
Does anyone know how to stop civ4 claiming sole use of my mic, or how to make it start when the mic is already in use?
One person I talked to said it is possible to work around the problem by installing a second sound card, and setting teamspeak and civ 4 to use different soundcards. Sadly my spare soundcard is an old ISA one that doesnt work with my current motherboard.
