I would like to welcome all of you to the 21st century. In the 21st century you can expect many things, like cell phones, traffic in the city, email to your pager at 3am that wakes up the baby, and buggy software.
Yes, that's right, I said you can expect buggy software. Every time. All the time.
This is because 1.) Microsoft does very little to make software design easy, even if you do pay them large ammounts of money to help you. 2.) Software publishers know that you will pay money for an incomplete product and that they can add fixes later (maybe) to fix it. If they don't fix it, well, they still have your money. 3.) Programs are HUGE. There is more information copied to you harddrive when install Civ4 than in the entire sequence of your genetic code. Errors are bound to happen.
So stop yelling at Sid!
He has to fight an uphill battle against a monopoly, big business, and the nature of computers in general.
If you are having problems, do your best to post a detailed technical description of the issues. This will help the Dev team solve them in a timely manner.
Posting rants and pointing fingers only means that the Dev team have to search longer and harder for the infomation they need to fix the game.
Respectfully,
KP
