  • Tech trading unit

    One of the issue we are having in MP games is problems caused by excessive tech trading.

    As a result, most of the MP games we play have tech trades turned off, or artificial rules like trade only self researched techs.



    I have a notion for a unit mod to deal with this:

    Allow a player to build a crippled GP, a "technical assistance unit" ... one that can only lightbulb a tech he currently has already, and can do absolutely nothing else.

    It is only useful as a trade item ... move it to a neighbor, and gift it.

    If you have to build the damned thing with hammers, it makes tech trades possible, but a but spendy, as it will tie up a city for a while.

    Is it possible to create a new buildable unit based on a GP to do this?
