Is it Possible to change a setting once game starts?

I love this game, I was in one of those .."One more turns" mode last night when I went to Battle finally, masses troops springing out of my border cities when after several hours of play, I realized I could not attack as a group????


I guess I didnt do something during setup..anyhoo...

Is it "possible"..(This is a single player game by the way) to open up a screen and allow or select or check to have stacked combat, once game has started?

I am in a bunch of games but havent set up too many is all..
