Ok, I have this really gigantic game going and I was aware of the maximum city limit (255), but to my surprise I came across a maximum unit limit while amassing a military (I think it must be between 1600-2000 units total -- a rough estimate of global forces).
Is there ANY way to alter either of these parameters???
The answer is NO as far as I know and as far as I researched it. My scenario Red Front ran up against the unit limitation and it caused me a lot of headaches so I tried hard to overcome it without success.
The city number as also hardcoded and falls in the same category.
Why on earth would you want 2000 units?
Chaos, panic and disorder - My work here is done.

For MGE, I think itís defnitively 1948 for one civ and 2048 for all civs. I found the values and changed them. Even made a patch with it. A civ can now build up to 2049 units, but at the 2050th, the game crashes. If anyone wants to check if it works the same way for his computer, I can send him the patch.
My patch gets rid of the 255 cities limit too. But there are 2 problems. The game crashes after 270 cities are build and the units allocations are not correct.
For ToT, I havenít tested the number of units problem yet. For the cities, you can build as many as you want but with the problem of units allocation. Further test is required and it takes a lot of time. I wonít have that time until the summer holidays, and even then, Iím not sure Ö
Wish I was getting paid everytime the question is asked, though !
