In this time of strife and conflict, we need something to unite us in order to stay strong and prosperous, that we present a united front against any threats, internal or external. We propose that we standardize rail measures and build rail lines between all the major cities of Africa and Eurasia and auxiliary roads to provincial areas. It will make trade and transportation of people and goods much easier and effective if we have a standard and connected transportation network, linking all the major areas of our hemisphere. Imagine the benefits, both in wealth generation and ease of transport, of being able to ship things or go from Beijing to Istanbul, Moscow to Capetown, Tunis to Bangkok without the hassle of constantly loading and unloading or having to travel over areas that are uninproved altogether. American War Update

In what was called the gratest Naval Battle of history, the Austrian, American and Italian navies enganged in combat the Brazilian, Cuban, Mexican and Venezuelan navies.
The two fleets were about the same size, but since the Brazilian and Cuban fleets knew better those waters, the AA Fleet managed to make their superior experience worth, as on the end the Austrians and Italians had to withdraw back to the American ports, to repair from their damages.

But the AA Fleet suffered heavy casualities as well, and even if they finally conquered the hegemony other the carrabeans, they have lost many ships, and have many others heavily damaged, and they had to go back to Mexican or Carrabean ports for reparations.

On the land, the American Army, with the help of the Italian troops managed to take back the parts of Arizona which were occupied by Mexico, and with a quick fight they destroyed the shortliving Repubblic of California.
Amazingly the Americans were helped in this by the Brazilians and the Mexicans, which had to take on the majority of the Californian Army in Baja California, and with the Californian defeat the pre-war borders are now reestablished.

Italian and Brazilian generals can now look at each other from very close across the border, however since the Italian troops were ordered to be only in defensive duties, the Italian general, Giancarlo Battaglia, have proposed a cease fire on the Mexican-American border.

The navy, with the help of a general who allied with them, has gained control of most of CHile and some of western Argentina. Paraguay, which had declared independence, has been attacked by one of the rebel groups, and is once again in anarchy. In the streets of Buenos Aires and other major cities, rebels inspired by the socialist faction of the Russian rebels have taken control.

Several German banks have set up office in Brazil, and are directing large amounts of money into various mining operations. This should provide a boost of 0.5 years to the German economy upgrade, and move the Brzilian economy up to plain 'Growing'.

Near the border, a wave of anti-Brazilian pogroms have occured. Throughout northern Brazil, there is a call for "un pais de espanol puro" (a country of pure Spanish, in other words a country where no one speaks portuguese).

Argentinian civil war:
The colors on the map are the 11 main factions. The white is areas that are controlled by minor factions or are highly contested. A few factions of note:

To Italy we must go on the advance now. The only way to make peace is if we take the war to them. They will never give in when we are in a stalemate as we are now. We must attack. Our troops are ready. Our navy willl soon be ready. We must attack of lose the war.

WE will be sending more tanks, artillery, and ships soon. Once our forces have been assembled we will attack once again. We susgest that you engage in massive ship building projects.
