Very interesting! I always hated the silly wood and stone gathering in past RTS games, but RoN might just make it tolerable.
A nice little description of the resources dialogue has been posted at RoN Eden by Nox. It has a pretty cool Flash animation of how the menu works. Unfortunately for some of us who don't speak French, the article is written in that language. I thought, however, that it would be a pity if the english-speaking masses missed out on it, and compiled a little translation, which can be found here:

EDIT: The translation was originally posted here, but is now moved over to RoN Eden.

on screen display, hud, somethings like in game
Huang,
I think it is always on the screen while playing like any resource counter in a RTS. I think it looks really cool and will have all the information that I would want in this type of game.
It is really cool that they tell you the maximum amount there and also put how full your farms or forest camps are so that you know if you have to build more. Really good job BHG!

on screen display, hud, somethings like in gameYeah, it's on the screen at all times, like tniem said. Look at any screenie, and it's in the top-left corner.

oh, i usually miss the screen's OSDs
and the map is in the center of the console, is it just me or is everyone just used to having it in the right bottom?
It beats the hell out of going through the 98623458 advisor menus in Civ3.
Yeah usually the map is in the bottom right but it should be easy to adjust. I actually believe that center should be easier to use. Or at least that is my hope.
